Bristol City striker Nahki Wells has sent a three-word message to his former QPR teammate Ebere Eze after it was revealed that he is the top-rated player in the Championship as per Whoscored.

Eze has been in phenomenal form this season and produced a number of electric displays for the West London side.

The playmaker has started every single game for QPR this season–scoring 11 times and providing seven assists.

In addition to his quick feet and lightning pace, the 21-year-old's ball skills and distribution are excellent–as his 86.3% pass success and average of 1.8 key passes a game prove (Whoscored).

According to Whoscored, he has the highest average rating of any Championship player (7.42), narrowly beating West Bromwich Albion's Matheus Pereira (7.39) and Brentford's Said Benrahma (7.38).

QPR tweeted out that fact from their official Twitter account alongside a gif of Eze earlier today.

Wells is one player that benefited greatly from Eze's impressive displays in the first half of the 2019/20 campaign, scoring 13 times in 26 appearances before he was recalled by Burnley and sold to the Robins in January.

He clearly holds the 21-year-old in high regard and took to Twitter to send a three-word message to the attacking midfielder.

The Verdict

Eze has been nothing short than sensational for the R's this season and is one of the brightest talents in the Championship at the moment.

It's hard to argue too much with him being the top-rated player in the division, though you do feel that defenders and defensive midfielders are more difficult to properly rate.

Wells clearly thinks he is right up there and it seems he still has a strong respect for his former teammate.

They formed a fantastic partnership in the early part of the campaign and it's a shame for both players that they aren't still on the same side.
