Queens Park Rangers fans have perhaps witnessed one of the finest seasons from an individual in the Championship, with Adel Taarabt ripping the division to pieces in 2010/11.

Taarabt scored 19 goals and registered a further 21 assists for Neil Warnock’s side, who won the title and a return to the Premier League.

The highlight of the campaign was Taarabt ripping opposition defences to pieces, with highlight reels of the playmaker continuing to do the rounds across social media.

Quiz: Do you know where these 18 ex-QPR players are playing now?

And, reacting to one particular video was Nahki Wells, with the Bristol City player delivering his verdict on the ex-QPR favourite:

Of course, Wells has been part of the QPR squad in recent years and became a fan favourite in his own right.

The striker scored nine goals last season whilst on loan from Burnley, with the 29-year-old continuing to impress after returning to West London during the first-half of the 2019/20 campaign.

13 goals alerted Bristol City, however, with the striker departing Loftus Road for the South West in January.

The Verdict

Taarabt was some player and anyone who watched the 2010/11 campaign unfold will have witnessed his brilliance.

That was the standard set in the Championship and even players like Ruben Neves haven’t quite matched what Taarabt did in the division, despite going on to be a huge success in the Premier League with Wolves.
