What an Easter it has been for Sheffield United as they jumped back above Leeds United to take full control of the race for automatic promotion.

This weekend's successes got underway on Friday afternoon when Chris Wilder's troops saw off Nottingham Forest with ease at Bramall Lane in a 2-0 win.

Later that day, promotion rivals Leeds United were beaten 2-1 by Wigan Athletic, meaning the two sides drew level on points, before the Blades beat Hull 3-0 on Monday to move three points clear.

A second defeat for the Whites, this time against Brentford, that evening meant the Blades took full control of the race for that second automatic promotion spot.

And on Tuesday morning the feel-good factor clearly had not faded as the club shared an image of the Championship table on their official Twitter account, showing the Blades sat in second place.

Despite work still needing to be done, the fans remain on cloud nine...
