Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to close the gap on the top six tonight as they take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road tonight.

The Owls are unbeaten in four but after their slow start the fans aren't pleased and sections booed the team off following the 0-0 draw against Bristol City on Saturday.

Despite Carlos Carvalhal feeling the officials denied them two clear penalties, Wednesday were toothless in attack and failed to register a shot on target.

So, with that in mind, the Portuguese boss could ring the changes tonight and he might look to bring in the energy and quality of Kieran Lee into the midfield from the start to help support the strikers.

The 29-year old has been an influential player over the years but has endured a stop-start season so far with injuries impacting him.

However, do our writers think that he should come back into the team tonight? Here they share their thoughts...

Sam Rourke

I think he has to.

Lee keeps Sheffield Wednesday ticking, and without him the Owls just don't look the same.

He often goes under the radar, but Lee is so important to how Carvalhal's side operate.

Must start tonight.

Alfie Burns

Yes, if fully fit, Kieran Lee should always be one of the first names on Carvalhal’s teamsheet.

Jacob Butterfield was less than impressive against Bristol City, and Carvalhal will probably look to pair Lee and Barry Bannan tonight against Ipswich.

Lee is a player of real quality and his contribution at Hillsborough can’t be underestimated.

George Dagless

Yes he should.

Jacob Butterfield didn't have the best of games last time out for the Owls and the jury is still out on him.

Lee is a well-liked member of the team and a class player so I think he'll be back into the side.
