New Stoke City boss Nathan Jones has revealed previously out-of-favour duo Bojan and Moritz Bauer will get a fresh start after his appointment.
Many Potters supporters were unhappy that the pair rarely featured under Gary Rowett, but the former Luton boss told the official site that he is prepared to use them: “If they buy into what we do, they have futures here. I’ve seen them and both will fit into how we play, so it will be entirely down to them and how they adapt and what they want to do.”
With Stoke often struggling for creativity, the decision not to play the technically-gifted Bojan baffled fans as he was limited to a role from the bench at best.
Meanwhile, right-back Bauer has been frozen out for much of the campaign despite impressing after initially joining last year.
And, it’s fair to say that Jones’ comments on the pair have gone down very well, with fans excited to see this new era for the club that will begin against Brentford on Saturday.
Here’s some of the reaction from Twitter on the boss’ latest update…
