‘Music to my ears’ – Many Sunderland fans react to Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, Lee Johnson update

Sunderland owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus is running out of patience with manager Lee Johnson and form needs to improve dramatically or he could lose his job, which has caused a stir among fans of the North East club.

The Black Cats made a strong start to the 2021/22 League One season but have now slipped out of the top six after losing three league games on the bounce and five of their last six games in all competitions.

Sources have exclusively informed Football League World that Louis-Dreyfus is understood to have made it clear to the club hierarchy that he is not happy with the current form.

Johnson is said to now be on a ‘short leash’ but will be given a chance to turn things around.

However, the Black Cats need to make a dramatic improvement to ensure the 40-year-old does not get his marching orders.

Sunderland take on fellow promotion hopefuls Ipswich Town at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

As it is just seven months into his reign at the North East club, we’re still learning what sort of owner Louis-Dreyfus is going to be and this update indicates he won’t be afraid of taking action if it is necessary.

Have Sunderland ever won an away game at each of these 20 stadiums?
