Murphy signs new deal for Ipswich

Ipswich Town have announced that striker Daryl Murphy has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The ambitious striker finished last season being the second top scoring striker in Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich Town, scoring 13 goals. This kicked off his international career again after getting recalled into the Republic of Ireland set up after a six year absence.
Murphy spoke to the official Ipswich Town website and said “I’m really enjoying my football here so I’m obviously delighted to have signed a new contract
“I’ve said before, Ipswich Town feels like home for me – both on and off the pitch. My family love the area and that’s very important to me.
“We are making progress as a football club and the challenge now is to continue that next season and hopefully get into that top six. That’s the target.”
Ipswich Town fell short of the play offs last season, finishing only four points outside of the top six in ninth place.
