Murphy in: An early look at how Watford’s XI could look at the start of the 2021/22 season

Watford could be in for an interesting summer transfer window, with Xisco Munoz’s side recently winning promotion back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

The Hornets were relegated from the top-flight last season, but have put together an impressive run of results in the second-half of this year’s campaign to pull clear of their promotion-chasing rivals in the Championship.

Watford kept the majority of their squad from the Premier League in the 2019/20 season together for this year’s campaign, and that experience and quality has shown at times this season.

The Vicarage Road faithful will be hoping that their side can establish themselves as Premier League regulars for years to come from now on, and avoid relegation back into the second-tier next term.

For that to happen, we could see Munoz dip into the transfer market in the summer, whilst also keeping the core group of his squad together.

We take a look at how Watford’s starting XI could look ahead of the 2021/21 league campaign in the Premier League.
