West Ham could be handed a potential transfer boost in their pursuit of the Nottingham Forest pair of Matty Cash and Joe Worrall according to Football Insider.

The report claims that the pair could be available for a fee in the region of £25m, with prices likely to fall due to recent off-the-field events bringing a temporary halt to the sporting calendar.

Cash has been impressive for the Reds this season, and has made 39 appearances for Sabri Lamouchi's side in all competitions, whilst also chipping in with three goals and four assists.

Whilst Worrall has been equally impressive in the heart of the Nottingham Forest defence, making 39 appearances in total. This year's campaign is the defender's first back in English football, having played for Scottish giants Rangers on loan last season.

Sabri Lamouchi's side are currently sat fifth int he second tier standings, and will be hoping they can hold their nerve in making a long-awaited return to the Premier League.

If they aren't to win promotion though, then it could be a nervy summer transfer window ahead for the City Ground faithful, as they keep their fingers crossed that their side will keep hold of their key players such as Worrall and Cash.

The Verdict:

It's going to be an interesting summer transfer window ahead at the City Ground.

A lot depends on which division Nottingham Forest are playing their football in to be honest. If the Reds win promotion into the Premier League, then I would be very surprised if either Cash or Worrall were to leave the club for West Ham.

However, if they aren't to win promotion this term, then you would imagine that a number of Premier League clubs will test Forest with formal bids for the pair.

They have both been hugely impressive for the Reds this season, and have shown that they deserve to be playing at a higher level than the Championship.
