Having signed Sam Gallagher from Southampton for an undisclosed fee, as per BBC Sport, Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has now revealed that he is determined to continue adding to his squad between now and August.

Speaking to the club's official website about the nature of the summer transfer window, the 55-year-old admitted: "It never stops.

"It's not as if we only do one and get that one and then move on to the next one.

"They're all going at the same time, it's just that they happen faster or slower. "Sometimes you have a target and for whatever reason that target disappears off the radar - somebody else signs him or he signs a new contract or the club refuses to sell him - and you have to move on to the next target. "That's happened once or twice. We're just moving on, we're trying to get to where we want to be. "We need a few more players and hopefully in the next few weeks those players will arrive and then we'll go to battle in the Championship and give it our best shot." With Bradley Johnson, Stewart Downing and Tom White all committing their futures to Blackburn in recent weeks, it will be intriguing to see what areas Mowbray looks to strengthen in before the window closes on August 8th. The Verdict Having seen their side finish in an underwhelming 15th place in the Championship in May, this latest update from Mowbray is sure to be music to the ears of the majority of Blackburn supporters who will be wanting the club to push on during the upcoming campaign. Given that Rovers have managed to keep hold of their talisman Bradley Dack, who was directly involved in 22 goals last season, they could now turn their attention to drafting in a new goalkeeper following David Raya's decision to join Brentford. With only one senior shot-stopper at their disposal, Jayson Leutwiler, it would be wise for Mowbray to use a fair chunk of the reported £3m fee (via the Lancashire Telegraph) they received for Raya to bring in some much-needed competition for a player who has only ever made eight appearances in the second-tier. If the former Coventry City boss can get his recruitment spot on, there is no reason why he cannot lead the club towards a top-half finish in 2020.
