Barnsley return to Championship action this Sunday against Leeds United, with Daniel Stendel’s side looking to turn the table on its head at Oakwell.

Currently, Leeds are sitting third, whilst Barnsley’s indifferent start leaves them narrowly outside the relegation zone and without a win since their opening day success over Fulham.

That win over Fulham was against the odds, and with Leeds a Yorkshire derby, there will be a confidence at Oakwell that the Tykes can turn Marcelo Bielsa’s side over.

Last time out, Stendel watched his side play out a 0-0 draw with Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

And, this weekend, the German boss has a couple of important bodies back available to him.

With that in mind, we look at the starting XI we are expecting to see against Leeds…

In our eyes, Brad Collins should retain the gloves after an impressive clean sheet on the road against Wigan.

More consistency ahead of him should see Aapo Halme and Mads Anderson in the centre-back roles. Dimi Cavare should continue at right-back, with Daniel Pinillos coming into the side at left-back in our first change.

Stendel has noted that Cameron McGeehan will face a late test to see if he’s available – as per Leon Wobschall – whilst his midfield partner and ex-Leeds man, Alex Mowatt, should return after injury. Given the pair's success together, Stendel could well push the former to make sure he's playing in a big game.

Ahead of them, we imagine Luke Thomas, Mike-Steven Bahre and Mallik Wilks will provide attacking options behind Conor Chaplin, who continues to lead the line.
