The 2016/17 season will most definitely go down as a disappointment despite expectations early on that the West London outfit could challenge for the top six.
Those hopes quickly diminished as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s reign at Loftus Road came to an end, although a few groups of the fan base thought the appointment of Ian Holloway could revitalise the club’s campaign.
That didn’t turn out to be the case and in fact the former Premier League boss nearly took Queens Park Rangers into a relegation battle, but they have only just survived following six straight league defeats.
One thing Holloway has succeeded in is allowing several starlets amongst the fringes, or out on loan, to flourish in the first-team and a few have made quite the impression amid supporters.
Some of these players will be vital in the next twelve months, whatever the club’s ambitions are for 2018.
