As what has been an underwhelming season for Stoke City draws ever closer to an end, Nathan Jones will be somewhat satisfied about his team's recent set of results as he prepares for the summer.

The Potters have lost just one of their last 11 league games and look a much more solid unit under the Welshman, after a few weeks of coaching and work on team cohesion.

Now, as their season begins to fizzle out, Jones will almost certainly have both eyes on the summer transfer window, as the former Luton Town boss begins to reshape his squad and bring in players that suit the playing style that served him so well at Kenilworth Road.

That, of course, means that the club may have to let a few players go in order to bring some in, with Jack Butland emerging as a name that could be set to leave the bet365 Stadium in the summer.

It was seen as a massive statement of intent when the club retained the services of the England international last summer, but the 26-year old now faces an uncertain future at the club beyond this season.

Here, we take a look at the paths that await the shot-stopper in the summer.

Sign for AFC Bournemouth

This looks to be the most likely option for Butland, who will be looking to reignite his career and get back to playing in the Premier League.

Reports claim that the Cherries are looking to solve their goalkeeping conundrum by signing Butland in the summer, and it would certainly be a good move the 9-time international.

He would be a regular for Eddie Howe's men, and would be playing at the top level too.

Sign for Crystal Palace

This is another move that he should consider.

The Premier League is still definitely Butland's level, and reports also shares that Crystal Palace are another team that are in pursuit of the towering shot-stopper.

The Eagles are in the market for another goalkeeper, so it is likely that he would be a regular for Roy Hodgson's men.

Stay at Stoke

You get the feeling that under Jones, Stoke could be a real force to be reckoned with after a full summer of training and transfers.

Jones is probably resigned to losing Butland in the summer, but if he had the chance, he'd love to keep him as he is a key player who would be influential in their promotion push next season.

Would Butland like to stay amid Premier League interest? It remains to be seen.
