There’s an entertaining clash at Elland Road on Friday evening to kick off the Championship’s weekend, with Leeds United hosting Derby County.

Leeds won the reverse fixture 4-1 back in August and the Rams are sure to be looking for revenge, with the view of sending out a real statement to their promotion rivals.

Both sides are hampered with injury problems, with Marcelo Bielsa revealing Pablo Hernandez is a doubt, whilst Frank Lampard has admitted to the Derby Telegraph that Harry Wilson might not be risked.

Despite that, some real quality will be on show and, here at FLW, we put together a combined XI of the players that we are likely to see feature.

Scott Carson is our first selection in goal, with the Derby man edging out Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

In defence, due to both first choice left-backs missing through injury, we’ve opted for a back-three, with Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson joined by Derby’s Fikayo Tomori.

Kalvin Phillips’ suspension means that Mateusz Klich partners Mason Mount in our central midfield, with that duo flanked by Ezgjan Alioski and Luke Ayling, who feature at left and right wing-back.

Due to the potential absence of Hernandez we’ve gone with both Jack Marriott and Kemar Roofe, who are likely to lead the line for their respective sides at Elland Road.

Wilson also makes our team despite Lampard rating him as doubtful for the clash. He’s a class act and if he’s anywhere near, he will feature.
