Sunderland will be considered one of the favourites for promotion from Sky Bet League One this season coming.

The Black Cats have had a tough few years with relegations coming in the last couple of seasons but a new start seems to be on the way with Jack Ross as manager and Stewart Donald the new owner.

Certainly, the pair have made some intriguing moves so far as they look to shake up the squad and so, with that in mind, we're wondering whether they'd profit from a move for attacker Jason Cummings.

The player appears out of Aitor Karanka's plans at Nottingham Forest at the moment and so, with the Scottish contingency on Wearside in mind, we asked fans of Sunderland whether they'd like the move.

Here was the response:

Cummings, then, is evidently someone that most of the fans that voted would like.

An energetic force up front, he'd certainly bring industry and some excitement to the Black Cats' forward line.

He's young and sometimes a bit raw because of that but he can score goals and if Ross could sign him and get a tune out of him he'd surely add to the feeling that a good season awaits the club.
