QPR saw midfielder Ryan Manning join Rotherham United on loan yesterday as they look for him to get more first-team experience.

Last year under Ian Holloway he was starting to break through but with a change of manager, it seems as though he perhaps now needs to look elsewhere to get minutes.

Indeed, Steve McClaren didn't seem to have him in his immediate plans and so he moves to the Millers with the opportunity to get more Championship football under his belt.

With that in mind, then, we asked fans on Twitter whether or not they felt it was a good move and it looks as though most of those that voted think that it is...

Certainly, it's a good move for the player and the Yorkshire side but might it be a bit of a risk for the men from Loftus Road?

They've not got the biggest squad in the league and they are only going to be able to add so much in the loan window.

Many expect them to be battling down the lower end of the table this year, too, and so giving a player to a side that could well be down there too seems a bit of a gamble.

Let's see what pans out.
