‘Most dangerous player by far’, ‘Needs to start every game’ – Many Charlton fans rave about one man after Gillingham draw

Charlton Athletic striker Chuks Aneke came off the bench to salvage a point for his side against Gillingham yesterday and many Addicks fans have heaped praise on the forward.
Lee Bowyer opted with Conor Washington and Omar Bogle from the start but neither was able to find the breakthrough, with the former missing a penalty after a disagreement over who should take it.
The Gills went ahead through a penalty of their own in the second half, with Jordan Graham making no mistake from the spot.
Charlton, who headed into the game having won their last six in a row in the league, were able to salvage a point late on when Aneke capitalised on some poor defending to score his fourth goal of the season.
The result leaves Bowyer’s men in fifth and will have raised yet more questions about who should be leading the line for the south London club moving forward.
Aneke has now scored four goals in all competitions this season, despite being restricted to just one start in League One so far.

Considering we had another makeshift back 4, I’ll take a point. We should start Smyth and Aneke up top from the off, caused them all sorts of aggro. #cafc

Smith and Aneke looked very sharp when they came on ! Not sure about Bogle and Albie another good game #cafc

Frustrating. Didn't create enough and too slow through midfield. Aneke looked good again… Bogle didn't #cafc

Smyth was excellent when he came on, him and aneke have to start, Bogle is not affective enough

Aneke is our most dangerous player by far he needs to be starting games. He should’ve put that header away though #cafc

Is Aneke not fit enough to start? He needs to start every game.
