Aston Villa’s 1-0 victory over Birmingham City in Sunday’s Second-City derby helped to restore some pride at Villa Park, after what has been a disappointing season in B6.

Gabby Agbonlahor struck his first goal of the season midway through the second-half, to help Steve Bruce’s side to victory and back into the top-half of the Sky Bet Championship table.

It was a cagey affair at Villa Park, which was settled by a well-taken finish from the experienced Agbonlahor.

As always, the derby saw committed challenges go in from both sets of players, however, only three yellow cards were given during the 90 minutes.

A video has now emerged from the aftermath on Agbonlahor’s match winning goal, showing Birmingham’s captain, Paul Robinson, punch and kick Villa’s James Chester to the floor as he celebrates.

The footage has brought an angry reaction from the Villa supporters and Tony Xia, the club’s owner.
