After yet another solid display for Birmingham City in their 1-0 win against Blackburn Rovers, a few Birmingham City fans took to Twitter to express their delight with defender Marc Roberts.

Last season, Roberts managed just eight appearances in the Championship. Now, though, the defender has cemented himself as a first-team regular under Pep Clotet, playing in 12 of City’s opening 13 matches.

In that time, he has kept four clean sheets, with the victory against Blackburn becoming his latest. After the club released an interview with the player on Twitter, fans were quick to congratulate him and show their appreciation after his latest top-class performance.

It is a run of top performances that has left Birmingham in 11th place, just three points off the top six.

The Blues Tweet highlighted that the defender is full of confidence, given his recent run of games.

This allowed the Blues faithful to praise Roberts for his resilient display.

One fan even compared the 29-year-old to club legend Michael Morrison who left for Reading at the beginning of the season.
