Nathan Jones had a very busy summer as Stoke City manager and it's fair to say it hasn't worked out, with the Potters second from bottom of the Championship right now.

Whilst a host of new arrivals haven't made the desired impact, the ex-Luton boss had to get rid of plenty of players to trim the squad.

And, one man to leave was right-back Moritz Bauer, who secured a very attractive move to Scottish champions Celtic and here we look at how he has been getting on in Glasgow.

Unfortunately for the 27-year-old, game time has been very hard to come by - something that will have frustrated the player when he was at Stoke.

The form of first-choice right-back Hatem Abd Elhamed and the emergence of Jeremie Frimpong means that Bauer has been restricted to just four games for the Hoops.

Despite getting off to the perfect start, coming on as a sub to help the side beat bitter rivals Rangers at Ibrox, the ex-Grasshoppers man has had to be patient.

Abd Elhamed has been the main man for the crunch games because of his defensive reliability, such as the Europa League victory over Lazio in the week, with boss Neil Lennon rotating as the fixtures come thick and fast.

But, as mentioned, the form of Frimong has hindered the Stoke man. Another summer recruit, the ex-Manchester City man is exciting fans with his energy and quality in the final third and it seems as though he has leapfrogged Bauer in the pecking order, with his attacking qualities that bit better.

So, the move to Scotland isn't going as well as Bauer would have wanted and he faces a big battle to get regular minutes - although he is unfortunate that he is up against two very good players.
