Sheffield United face Nottingham Forest this weekend in the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final.

Both sides will be eager to get a win and it is sure to be a cagey affair across both legs given both meetings between the sides this season ended 1-1.

However, Morgan Gibbs-White feels his side may have a slight upper hand as they go into the game on the back of three consecutive wins including a 4-0 victory over champions Fulham on the final day of the season.

The striker said via Nottinghamshire Live: "It's going to be a tough test Saturday but I really believe we've got it.

"I wouldn't say there's a favourite, I'd say we're definitely more hungrier. I feel like with the last games we've had and the form we've been in we're the most feared team right now out of the four."

Forest do also come into this game in good form having lost only two of their last 17 games.

However, losing out on automatic promotion against Bournemouth on the penultimate game of the season is bound to take it's toll on the team and was shown when they drew 1-1 with Hull City on the final day of the season.

Gibbs-White continued to say: "Just the way we are as a team, the way we press, the way we want to win games.

"We have a real big winning mentality. We hate conceding goals. We love winning, I just feel like the group is a very good, experienced team to get us through these play-offs."

The Verdict:

These two games will be very close as they are too brilliant sides but you can't blame Gibbs-White for having confidence in his side after their recent run of games at the end of the season.

Especially after the team had a struggle with injuries but then were able to find some form, the Blades will definitely feel as though they have the mindset to succeed in the play-offs.

However, these comments in themselves could fuel Nottingham Forest's motivation to prove their opponents wrong too.

Although, with the crowd on their side at Bramall Lane, United will be hoping their hunger will come out on top.
