Nottingham Forest manager Chris Hughton has stated that there is more to come from Lyle Taylor and Miguel Ángel Guerrero.

The pair were excellent for the Reds, as Forest put a crucial three points on the board to climb them further away from the dreaded relegation places.

Forest beat an inform Wycombe Wanderers side at the City Ground, and they made hard work of it, although Taylor's clinical finishing secured the points eventually for Hughton and his team.

One man who came in and impressed was Miguel Ángel Guerrero, with the 30-year-old playing up top with Taylor and seemingly striking up a partnership straight away.

Hughton has expressed that there's more to come from the pair, and is hopeful that he's found what he is looking for offensively.

When asked about Taylor and Guerrero, Hughton said: "What we have in both of them is two players who haven't played a lot of 90 minutes in the last few months. I think there's more to come from both of them.

"That's a plus, particularly when we've been looking for more offensively."

Nottingham Forest will be looking to build on these impressive recent showings when they return to action after the international break against Barnsley at Oakwell.

The Verdict

It's good for Forest to have more options in their attacking play, and Hughton will be delighted with the way Taylor and Guerrero linked up on Saturday.

What was so impressive was Taylor's running, and he eventually made it count with two brilliant goals that takes his tally up to four for the season, something he'll look to build on.

Hughton will be hoping that this partnership can continue to grow and develop and leave Forest with an opportunity to climb up the table and challenge for a place in the top six of the division.
