Watford appear to be the latest club to be interested in signing Hull City manager Andrew Robertson, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The impressive Scotland defender was one of the standout players for the Tigers last season despite the club being relegated to the Championship.

However, the club seem consigned to the thought of losing Robertson, who proved he can play in the Premier League with a string of impressive performances over the course of the season.

Watford have already signed Will Hughes from the Championship having completed a deal for the Derby man yesterday, and they now appear set to swoop for another of the Championship's top players with a move for Robertson.

Still only 23-years-old, Robertson could slot straight into the team at Watford down the left hand side, and their new manager Marco Silva will know him well from his time with the player last year.

A formal bid has yet to be made, but with Watford obviously keen to act early - as the move for Hughes demonstrated - it would appear the Hornets could well swoop in the coming weeks.

Robertson signed for Hull from Scottish side Dundee United back in 2014, and has gone on to make just shy of 100 appearances for the Yorkshire club.
