Stoke City striker Saido Berahino continued his upturn in form with another goal yesterday, bagging for Burundi in a 1-1 draw against Gabon.

Reported by the Stoke Sentinel, the goal continues the marked improvement in fortunes for Berahino, who had gone nearly three years without a goal before finding the net for the Potters in a their League Cup tie with Huddersfield Town last week.

Berahino bagged his second goal of the season, and it should be good news for Stoke, who have stuck by the former West Brom striker despite his woeful form since he made the move from the Hawthorns.

Stoke made a big splash in the summer as the club backed Gary Rowett with a host of new signings, but their start to the season has been inconsistent to say the least, as Rowett has struggled to get his players to blend as yet.

The Potters have only won one of their six Championship fixtures thus far, and the form of Berahino might well be seen as a big positive for the club. Berahino is clearly a talented forward capable of getting amongst the goals, as he showed earlier on in his career.

Stoke fans, what do you make of this? Can Berahino come back and perform consistently for you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
