It's been an underwhelming start to the Championship this season for Birmingham City with them struggling to find some rhythm out on the pitch.

Certainly, they've got the manager and players to turn that around, but so far Harry Redknapp hasn't managed to find his best system.

This weekend, then, he'll be looking to change that against a Preston side that is going along very nicely under the radar right now.

Many wondered how the men from Deepdale would do this season with them losing Simon Grayson and seeing Alex Neil come in as manager over the summer but, so far, he's helped guide them into the top six.

And, after beating Cardiff 3-0 during the week they are going to be well up for taking on a Blues side low on confidence after somehow contriving to lose at Leeds last time out.

It should, then, by a good game to watch at St. Andrew's and Preston, with their tails up, could just nick it to pile more misery on the Blues.

Harry Redknapp has maintained that things are going to turn around for the club and whilst he is probably right in that appraisal, it just doesn't seem imminent.

It's true, the Blues should have got at least a draw at Leeds but that was a game they weren't perhaps expected to win, this one against Preston arguably is.

And, as we've seen this season so far, Preston love it when they're perhaps not the favourites, they're confident after the Cardiff game and they're on an unbeaten run of four.

Score prediction: Birmingham 1-2 Preston
