Sunderland finally got themselves another win at the weekend as they beat Burton Albion 2-0 in what looked a real six-pointer in the Championship.

Both sides have struggled this season and needed the three points but it was Sunderland who took the win against the men from the Midlands as they won out by two goals to nothing.

Certainly, then, there's a bit of positivity about the club once more and, though they're not safe yet, they are at least looking a bit more together as a unit under Chris Coleman.

Indeed, you can already see the positive impact the former Wales manager is having on the club and that appears to be gaining momentum with him being awarded the manager's role in the EFL Team of the Week.

Put together from the three leagues in the EFL, there's always going to be plenty of competition but getting a confidence and assured performance out of Sunderland is certainly no mean feat at the moment.

Coleman managed it, though, as the EFL has revealed on their Twitter account:

A good start for the Welshman, then, but he won't be resting on his laurels as Reading face them at the Stadium of Light this weekend.
