Sky Sports EFL pundit David Prutton has predicted Nottingham Forest's winless run will continue on Saturday and forecasted a 2-1 win for Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

Chris Hughton's men have been in dismal form since the international break and have not won or scored in the last four games.

Reading, on the other hand, got back to winning ways last weekend against Bristol City and were unfortunate not to take all three points against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

In his predictions for Sky Sports, Prutton has suggested they will claim the victory when they host the Reds on Saturday.

He explained: "My admiration for Veljko Paunovic went up a lot in how cool he was after their draw with Sheffield Wednesday in midweek, as the Reading boss surely would have felt a lot more decisions should have gone their way. They do seem to be back on track, though.

"Things haven't quite got going for Nottingham Forest under Chris Hughton yet. It feels like he's still trying to get things sorted out. I feel the results will soon come, but not on Saturday."

That result would see the Royals reclaim their spot at the top of the Championship table, if only until the afternoon fixtures.

Defeat for Forest could mean that the gap between them and the bottom three is narrowed further, though there would have to be a significant goal difference swing for Hughton's men to drop into the relegation places.

Felipe Araruna, Andy Yiadom, and George Puscas all look set to miss out for the Royals, while both Yakou Meite and John Swift are questionable.

The Reds are likely to be without a string of first-team players with Tyler Blackett, Samba Sow, and Lewis Grabban among the players with injury issues, while Luke Freeman and Jack Colback may not be available either.

Saturday's game could see Joe Worrall partner summer signing Scott McKenna at centre-back for the first time.

Which club did Nottingham Forest sign each of these 25 players from?

The Verdict

The Royals seem to have rediscovered their mojo and were unfortunate not to come away from Hillsborough with a win against a 10-man Wednesday side that dug deep.

Things look significantly direr for Forest, who still don't seem to have found their feet under Hughton.

The experienced coach certainly has the quality to turn things around but against a Reading side that are confident again, Saturday looks a tough ask and it could be more frustration for him.
