With Leeds United firmly on top of the Championship, manager Marcelo Bielsa seems to have the midas touch with all the big calls going for him, as he juggles his streamlined squad over what has been a tricky period due to injuries and suspensions.

In recent matches, Bielsa has dropped Samu Saiz in favour of Adam Forshaw in the centre of the park, after a poor run of form for the 27-year-old Spaniard.

But are Leeds a better side with Forshaw in, instead of Saiz?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

With Adam Forshaw in the side, Leeds look more balanced and more organised.

When Samuel Saiz starts, they are little more cavalier and attacking - which leaves gaps to exploit.

The former Brentford man adds stability in the middle of the pitch and you saw that at the weekend when he was the last man back before a cluster of Leeds players came back to snuff out an attack.

There is a calmness about Forshaw and he certainly makes Leeds more of a unit than if the loose cannon Saiz plays.

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, I think so.

I like Saiz, but he’s one of those players that runs hot and cold. When the weather was nice in the summer, he looked great. Wasn’t that the case last season though?

Now it’s turning, cold weather, heavy pitches and darkness falling just after half time.

This is where he begins to fade and that spells good news for Forshaw.

George Harbey

I think they look a lot more balanced.

Forshaw is good going both ways and is good in the tackle, something that Saiz isn’t.

Saiz may bring bags of quality and talent in the attacking areas of the pitch, but for the time being, Forshaw is more important.
