Nottingham Forest welcome Birmingham City to the City Ground on Friday night, looking to end a torrid run of form which hasn't seen them win since the 27th August.

The Blues make the short trip to the East Midlands in fine form, sitting in an impressive sixth place in the table after a fine start to the season.

Desperate for a morale boosting win, Forest boss Philippe Montanier could make some changes to the side that lost 2-1 at Bristol City two weeks ago, as they look to secure their first clean sheet of the season as well as a vital three points.

If the Reds are to defeat Gary Rowett's Blues, then Philippe Montanier must start these THREE players...

David Vaughan

Despite being the man of the match on his return against Fulham two weeks ago, the 33-year-old was surprisingly dropped by Philippe Montanier for the trip to Bristol City.

The former Wales international dictated the play in the Reds' 1-1 draw with Fulham and impressed many with his performance.

Montanier must play Vaughan again on Friday evening if they are to get a result.

Hildeberto Pereira

A fan favourite, Pereira must start on Friday evening.

Whether it be at right back or on the right wing, the 20-year-old's flair, pace and passion is vital to Philippe Montanier's side.

His attacking attributes will cause any team in the Championship a number of problems, and Forest fans will be hoping that the youngster can continue his impressive start to the season.

Jack Hobbs

A surprising choice perhaps, but Philippe Montanier should certainly start the former Hull City man for the visit of Birmingham City.

Hobbs has had a tough time with injuries in recent time but there is no denying that the no nonsense centre half would improve a shoddy Forest back four.

Still without a clean sheet this season, Hobbs could be the man to help the Reds achieve their first clean sheet of the season.
