Philippe Montanier's Nottingham Forest side have not had the best of starts to their Championship campaign.

Sitting in a disappointing 18th place, the Nottingham Forest faithful have had little to shout about this season.

Nonetheless, there have been a few positives for the East Midlands club this season.

The arrival of Philippe Montanier was met with suspicion among some Forest fans, though his honest views and his approach of playing attacking football has been a breath of fresh air, despite the amount of goals they have conceded.

Another positive would be Montanier's willingness to play youngsters in his side.

This season has seen the introduction of a number of youth player being brought into the side such as Matty Cash, Jorge Grant and most notably Oliver Burke.

Some young players at Forest have unquestionable talent, but a loan move in January could be the perfect way to help them secure a place in the starting line up next season.

Here are TWO Nottingham Forest players who Montanier must loan out in January...

Joe Worrall

As a result of Philippe Montanier's rotation policy at the club, there aren't many first team players who are completely out of the picture at the club.

However, youngsters such as Joe Worrall, who is a player for the future, could certainly benefit from being sent out on loan.

Worrall enjoyed a successful loan spell at Dagenham and Redbridge but has failed to break into the first team squad this season due to the competition for places.

Another loan spell, this time in League One or a top League Two team perhaps, could help Worrall break through into the first team set up next season.

Jorge Grant

Definitely one for the future, Jorge Grant has plenty of talent and potential which he could develop even further with a loan move in January.

Although both Jorge Grant and Matty Cash are at similar levels in their development and ability, Cash's loan move at Dagenham and Redbridge last season has improved his game considerably and the 19-year-old looked very comfortable in the centre of midfield before his recent injury setback.

For me, Grant is a loan move away from following in the footsteps of the likes of Ben Osborn and Oliver Burke.
