West Bromwich Albion have had a quiet transfer window in terms of incomings, but the Baggies have managed to cut ties with a high-profile player this morning as Salomon Rondon departs.

Rondon has been with the Baggies since 2015, but today, the club have confirmed that he’s heading to China, with the 29-year-old linking back up with Rafa Benitez at Dalian Yifang.

Benitez was Rondon’s boss last season at Newcastle United, with the Venezuelan spending the year on loan with the Magpies following Albion’s relegation to the Championship.

After 28 goals for the Baggies, all of which came when the club were in the top-flight, Rondon divided opinion, with some appreciating his qualities and others questioning his commitment during the club’s relegation campaign.

There were well wishes, but plenty of West Brom supporters got stuck into their departing forward as Albion finally brought this particular transfer saga to a close….
