Mo Barrow revealed that he is just as disappointed as the fans in how this season has gone.

The 25-year-old winger joined the club from Swansea last summer when Jaap Stam was in charge. Interestingly, he was sold by Paul Clement who is now his manager at Reading.

He has been used a lot by both managers with 41 league appearances and is the club's top scorer in the league with 10 goals as well as five assists, so he has been one of the few positives in a dismal season.

This is what Barrow had to say about Reading's season, according to the official site"I’m not happy with how the season has gone and I don’t think any of the team are."

We were hoping to finish highly in the league this season, or at least a play-off position, and it hasn’t happened like that."

We’ve learned a very valuable lesson this season. It is good to be able to remain in the league so that our focus can be on the new campaign."

The Verdict

The Royals have underperformed significantly compared to last season, but they avoided relegation which was key. They now have the chance to rebuild under Clement who did well when he managed Derby County at this level, although Reading's performances under him haven't been full of promise so far.

Clement needs to be given financial backing in the transfer market if they want to move back to challenging for the play-off spots, though, because this is Stam's squad, so the summer transfer window will be key.
