Milton Keynes Dons have won the race to sign striker Tom Hitchcock, reports Sky Sports.
The 21-year-old is a free agent having been released by Queens Park Rangers at the end of the season.
A number of clubs are interested in the former Blackburn Rovers striker, son of former Chelsea goalkeeper Kevin Hitchcock, including League One play-off winners Rotherham United – where he finished last season on loan.
But Sky Sports believes that MK Dons have won the race for his signature and the club should announce the signing by the end of the week.
Hitchcock scored nine goals in 14 games last season.
