League One strugglers MK Dons look set to land the signing of Stoke City defender Josh Tymon, according to reliable journalist Alan Nixon.

The impressive young defender has been making an impression this season and has made sporadic appearances in the Premier League, however, with the Potters now under the management of Paul Lambert, it appears that Tymon can head out on loan as he looks to get some first team experience.

A move to the MK Dons looks the most likely, with the League One club leading the race ahead of a number of clubs interested in Tymon.

The 18-year-old will no doubt relish the chance of a move to gain some more action, and would almost certainly be an instant starter for Dons, who have recently parted company with manager Robbie Neilson as they continue to struggle in the third tier.

Tymon can fill in at right back or even at centre half if needed and would be a solid addition down at Stadium MK as they look to preserve their League One status.

MK fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
