MK Dons make Premier League legend managerial offer

Published

on

Former Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has been offered the managerial vacancy at MK Dons, with a decision expected on Monday, according to Sky Sports.

The League One side started negotiations with the scouse midfielder this weekend about the managerial role and have now offered the position to Gerrard if he wishes to take it.

Gerrard, who has been playing in the United States with LA Galaxy, will leave the Los Angeles based side next month after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract.

If the 38-year old-midfielder decides to accept the MK Dons post, then it will be his first managerial spell in his career.

He is currently undertaking his Uefa A coaching license, which shows intentions of a career in management.

Dons are struggling in League One – sitting in 21st place – and their poor position led to the sacking of Karl Robinson last month after six years in charge.

MK Dons fans… Will Gerrard accept the manager’s job? Will it be a risk to take him on with no managerial experience? Let us know in your thoughts and opinions below!
