Nottingham Forest will have a number of players unavailable for this weekend's trip to Barnsley, with Lewis Grabban still set to be absent for the Reds.

Grabban has missed Forest's last four games after picking up a hip injury against Derby County last month.

Last season's top goalscorer is yet to open his account this season, and in his absence, Lyle Taylor has scored three goals in his last two games.

Grabban will still be missing this weekend, though, however Chris Hughton has insisted that the striker is "on track" as he looks to make a full recovery, as per Nottinghamshire Live.

Elsewhere, Joe Worrall, Fouad Bachirou and Tyler Blackett will still be missing for the Reds, as will Samba Sow, who is a fresh injury concern.

The midfielder injured his hamstring in the recent 2-0 win at home to Wycombe Wanderers, and he was replaced by Ryan Yates at half-time.

But Harry Arter will be fit and available after withdrawing from international duty with the Republic of Ireland last week, and Michael Dawson is also expected to be back soon after a calf problem.

The Verdict

This is a mixed piece of injury news.

Sow always adds drive and power to the midfield, so his absence is a blow this weekend.

It was quite worrying when Harry Arter withdrew from international duty, but he's fit and ready now and will be a fine addition to the squad this weekend.

Forest will hope to also have Grabban back soon, but Lyle Taylor is on fire at the moment and it will take a lot for him to lose his place in the side.
