Huddersfield Town will be without Alex Pritchard for 3-4 weeks, but Carlos Corberan is hoping to be able to call on Juninho Bacuna on Saturday when his side face Luton Town at the John Smith's Stadium.

Pritchard picked up a knock on his ankle in the win over Millwall on Saturday, which forced him out of last night's defeat to Bristol City. Bacuna was also absent for Huddersfield, with the midfielder suffering with illness.

Late goals from Jay Dasilva and Jamie Paterson handed Huddersfield a 2-1 defeat, with Corberan's focus now quickly switching to Saturday's meeting with Luton.

Post-match, Corberan was quizzed on the diagnosis of Pritchard's injury after scans. There, Corberan confirmed that it was set to be 3-4 weeks on the sidelines for the midfielder, which pushes his return back into December.

Whilst that was disappointing, Corberan was confident that he'd be able to call on Bacuna this weekend when his side face Luton.

Corberan revealed that the midfielder was suffering with illness, but should have been back on the training pitch today as Huddersfield prepare for the visit of the Hatters.

Bacuna has scored one goal and registered three assists in nine appearances this season under Corberan.

The Verdict

This is mixed news for Huddersfield.

Pritchard could turn out to be a very important player for Huddersfield, so to learn that he's out for 3-4 weeks is a blow. Corberan needs him for a full run of fixtures to see if he can play a big part in this side.

In terms of Bacuna, he makes an impact nearly every time he plays. He was missed last night and it'll be good to see him back against Luton at the weekend.
