Bolton Wanderers will be hoping they can pick up a much-needed win this weekend, when they return to action against high-flying Wycombe Wanderers.

The Trotters are currently sat bottom of the League One table, and will be keen to close the gap on AFC Wimbledon who sit one place above the relegation zone.

Frustratingly, Keith Hill's side are 18 points adrift of the relegation zone heading into the game against the Chairboys, and they'll know they're in for a tough game on Saturday.

Wycombe are currently fourth in the third-tier standings, but have struggled for consistency in their results since the turn of the year.

The Bolton News have reported that Keith Hill has provided supporters with a mixed injury update ahead of the game against Gareth Ainsworth's side.

Dennis Politic is set to be fit for the game at the University of Bolton Stadium, having recovered from illness which kept him out of their recent game against Doncaster Rovers.

But the Trotters are likely to be without Jack Hobbs, Ronan Darcy and Kean Bryan, who have picked up minor injuries in midweek.

The Verdict:

This is an irritating update for Bolton heading into their game against Wycombe.

Hobbs, Bryan and Darcy are all players that are likely to have started if they were available for selection, so this is certain to be frustrating for Keith Hill.

They're not exactly blessed with a considerable amount of options in each position this season, so the Bolton boss will be hoping that they can return to action at the earliest of opportunities.

I can't see anything but a Wycombe win in this game, as they're going to be eager to pick up three points to aid their bid for promotion into the Championship this term.
