‘Missed your composure’ – Sheffield Wednesday fans clamour for return of key midfielder

Sheffield Wednesday were the happier of the two Sheffield sides last night as they ground out a 0-0 draw with local rivals United in the Friday night game live from Bramall Lane.

Chances were few and far between for both sides and both managers will be content enough with a point at the end of the 90 minutes, with United the happier of the two over the course of the season following their win at Hillsborough earlier in the campaign.

The Owls struggled for momentum but dug in to their credit in new manager Jos Luhukay’s first game in charge despite missing a whole host of first team players through injury.

One such player who was missing was Scottish midfielder Barry Bannan, who is out for the forseeable future with a hip injury. Bannan though, was there to support his team last night, and took to Twitter to compliment his teammates on resolute performance.

This tweet prompted plenty of Wednesday fans to respond, and we’ve taken a look at the responses to see how Owls fans were feeling about the draw with the Blades and the potential for Bannan to return to the squad soon…
