It's safe to say that Sheffield Wednesday have had a 2020 to forget so far in the Championship, as they continue to struggle for any sort of positive momentum heading towards the conclusion of this year's league campaign.

The Owls have only won once in their last ten matches, which has seen them slide down the second tier standings at an alarming rate.

They're now sat 15th in the Championship table, which will be hugely frustrating for the club's supporters, having previously seen their side occupy a play-off place earlier in the season.

Sheffield Wednesday's Twitter account looked back at a memorable goal that was scored on this day four years ago.

Barry Bannan's fine strike saw the Owls take a point away from Derby County at Pride Park, as Sheffield Wednesday narrowly missed out on promotion, after a defeat to Hull City in the Play-Off Final at Wembley.

Plenty of Sheffield Wednesday fans were quick to respond to this latest throwback, with many of the Owls supporters claiming that they were missing the attacking-style of football they saw from their team on that day.
