Sunderland have revealed their away kit for the 2019/20 season and many Black Cats fans are appalled at the design.

As opposed to the black away kit from last season, the new strip is a textured blue with a red Adidas logo, red Adidas three stripe down the side of the torso and red trim round the collar.

It will be accompanied by blue shorts, also with a red Adidas logo and accompanying red Adidas three stripe.

The shirt will feature the logo of charity Children with Cancer UK, as the club's principal partner BETDAQ has gifted it's front-of-shirt presence to the charity this season.

The official launch was made on Twitter today using an image featuring Max Power, Power's son who plays for the academy, Bali Mumba, Keira Ramshaw, club staff and supporters.

Images of the kit and the photo shoot for the unveiling had been leaked earlier this week.

Jack Ross' side are heading into a second consecutive season in League One after they narrowly missed out on promotion last season.

The Black Cats are amongst the favourites to seal promotion to the Championship and fans are likely anticipating the start of the new campaign.

However, the new away kit appears to have been poorly received by many of the club's supporters.
