It has been a challenging start to life back in the Championship for Millwall, but one Neil Harris’ men are certainly rising to.

Following the first seven rounds of fixtures, the Lions sit in nineteenth place with six points, having picked up a win and three draws from their opening games.

Despite several defeats, the Lions have refused to be overawed by their opponents, and fell just short of snatching a point at big-spending Wolves at the weekend.

Tipped by many to go straight back down, the Lions are showing heart and competing with the very best the division has to offer, and Harris will be delighted with the performances of his side thus far.

Last night’s draw at Queens Park Rangers was a true testament to the excellent character being showed at the club.

Taking an early lead, Millwall suffered a setback just before half time when Lee Gregory was dismissed for a wild lunge, yet just after the break, the visitors doubled their lead through Jed Wallace.

Unfortunately the numerical disadvantage took its toll, and after Massimo Luongo had pulled a goal back for the R’s, substitute Matt Smith found a late equaliser.

The point however come as a massive boost, and their performance with only ten men will have delighted the fans that made the trip across London.

However, Saturday will be a true testament of how far the Lions have come.

Leeds United are the visitors to The Den, and a result against the league leaders will be huge for Harris’ side.

The Whites have been the best side in the league this year - as proven by their position in the table - and if Millwall can compete with the visitors, then we may be provided with a clear indication that the club should survive the drop.

Harris will relish the game in what is set to be a fiery affair both on and off the pitch, and a positive outcome against Leeds would be huge for the home crowd.

Lions fans, are you confident of avoiding the drop?
