Millwall had become a bit of a yo-yo club over the last three or four seasons as they continually flittered between the Championship and League One.

Last season Neil Harris nearly achieved the spectacular, however, as he brought Millwall to within spitting distance of the Premier League.

A monumental unbeaten run after Christmas saw the Lions rise from relegation fodder to serious contenders for a Championship play-off spot.

Harris's tactics and team selections were largely to thank, setting his side up to be incredibly hard to beat with one of the most organised defences in the division.

It was undoubtedly the high-point of the club's recent history and certainly not anything to be embarrassed about.

But in the midst of those yo-yo seasons, there were certainly plenty of moments of which the Den faithful will have been covering their eyes for.

Here, then, are Millwall's three most embarrassing moments from the last 15 years...

It was a very questionable move appointing Lomas as manager from the start and so it proved in the first half of the 2013/14 season.

The Lions won just five of his 22 games in charge as they plummeted towards the relegation zone.

Lomas was swiftly given the sack and his appointment hushed by all those involved since.

What a period this was for the Lions.

After Ian Holloway arrived at the end of the previous season he declared his intentions to take the club into the Premier League as he had done with Blackpool and Crystal Palace.

What happened? Well they got relegated of course.

Honestly what was Holloway thinking here?

Your team is flailing towards the bottom of the Championship. You need some reinforcements. Who do you bring in? A very-much past it Gary Taylor-Fletcher of course.

The winger was utterly useless, picking up just one assist in his ten appearances.
