Millwall have had a turbulent decade where they have fluctuated between the second and third tiers of English football.

The club ended their four-season stay in League One in 2010 when they won the play-offs to confirm their place in the Championship, where they would remain for another five seasons.

In their first season back in the second flight, they achieved a decent finish, but the seasons that followed were relegation battles that resulted in their plight to League One again in 2015.

After two seasons there, Neil Harris led them back to the Championship, and again, Millwall enjoyed a positive first season back, so let's hope they don’t follow a similar trend as last time.

The Lions were the surprise package of the Championship last season, winning over neutral fans for their efforts, but it looks like they will not replicate that this year.

Off the pitch, there have been several pleasing decisions made – here, we look at the best THREE of those in the last decade.

Do you agree, or can you think of a better decision that has been made off the pitch that has strongly influenced proceedings on the pitch?

Appointing Neil Harris was a shrewd piece of business for Millwall. After a couple of stints as caretaker manager, Harris was given the full time job in 2015 at the club he made nearly 400 playing appearances for.

Harris has led Millwall to a promotion and top-half finish in the Championship, boasting an impressive win rate.

Steve Morison is coming to the end of his career now, but has been a terrific servant for the Lions since his arrival in 2015.

The Enfield-born striker had previously enjoyed a stint at the club, and he couldn’t stay away. He has made over 200 appearances in that time and scored some big goals for the club in both the Championship and League One.

Ian Holloway led Millwall to relegation in 2015 after a terrible run of matches.

It was the first time that Holloway had been sacked in his career and it has gone downhill since then for him.

Millwall lost five of Holloway’s last six games in what was an awful time for the Lions fans.
