Millwall can be pleased with the signings they've made so far this summer, with both Scott Malone and George Long joining on free transfers.

Even so, Gary Rowett and the Lions fanbase will likely want more new arrivals before the end of the window.

With that in mind, here is all the latest Millwall transfer news...

Matt Smith pens new Millwall

Millwall have announced that striker Matt Smith has penned a one-year contract with the club, keeping him at the club for a further year.

Smith has scored 19 goals in 77 appearances over the past two seasons but was set to leave as a free should new terms not be agreed.

When the south London club published their retained list back in May, they revealed that they were in talks to keep the target man and that deal has now been agreed.

Club make first move in pursuit of Sheffield Wednesday forward

Josh Windass has been drawing links to a number of clubs since Wednesday's relegation to League One was confirmed but Millwall have made the first move as they look to land him.

According to the Sheffield Star, the Lions have become the first club to make the Owls an offer for Windass.

It is thought, however, that the Yorkshire club are holding out for a big-money deal for the 27-year-old.

Birmingham City, Fulham, QPR, and Preston North End have also been linked with Windass.

AFC Wimbledon move in front of Millwall in pursuit of Chelsea player

Millwall were linked with Chelsea midfielder Luke McCormick earlier in the summer, with the south London club said to be ready to swoop for him in the current window as they look to capitalise on his contract situation.

However, it appears as though they've slipped back in the race for the 22-year-old, who impressed on loan at Bristol Rovers last term.

According to journalist Alan Nixon, Wimbledon are emerging as favourites for McCormick and could sign him on a free transfer with a sell-on clause included as part of the deal.

It is understood that Championship clubs are not being offered that structure of deal at the moment.
