Newly promoted Millwall will challenge Leeds United for the signature of Conor McLaughlin, according to respected journalist Alan Nixon.
The 25-year-old has become a mainstay of the team for League One Fleetwood Town, but now appears to be a wanted man after season upon season of consistent performances for the Cod Army.
Leeds are looking to add more new faces to build on last season, while Millwall will be hoping to capture new players following their promotion via the playoffs last term.
McLaughlin, who has over 20 caps for Northern Ireland, would no doubt be a welcome sight at either club, and the right back will no doubt be hard pushed to turn down a move to the Championship with either of the interested parties.
Fleetwood missed out on promotion to the Championship last season, falling in the playoffs after a hugely successful season under Uwe Rosler.
McLaughlin may well see this as his opportunity to get Championship football, and he will no doubt have a big decision to make when it comes to choosing his destination for next term.
Leeds and Millwall fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
