Millwall could move out of the Championship relegation zone this evening as they head to the City Ground looking for just their second win of the season.

The Lions are without a win in seven matches and have picked up just one point in that time, losing six, and take on Nottingham Forest this evening.

A solitary win over Derby County in August is all the Lions have been able to muster in the win column of the division.

Neil Harris is enduring the hardest spell of his four years in charge at The Den, and the fixtures continue to come thick and fast with a trip to Nottingham Forest this evening looking to get back to winning ways.

If they are to do so, they will be without Jed Wallace who picked up his fifth booking of the season in the defeat to Sheffield United last weekend and will serve a one-game suspension.

It will be the first game the winger has missed in the whole of 2018 - a run that stretches 31 matches.

That could see Jiri Skalak or Shane Ferguson fill the gap that has opened up down the right-hand side.

Shaun Hutchinson is still out with a knee injury and could be back after the upcoming international break.

Jordan Archer who played in the  U23s 1-0 win over Charlton U23s could be in contention to start, but a place on the bench remains the likeliest option.

With Steve Morison in the autumn of his career, and three games in a week a stretch at this stage, Tom Elliott could be in the frame to lead the line this evening.

Lee Gregory is set to retain his place after scoring at the weekend with Tom Bradshaw expected to continue on the bench.

The Verdict

Millwall only have a small squad and a small pool of players to choose from.

Therefore, wholesale changes will not be in effect despite the need to find a winning formula.

With Jed Wallace out, there could be just one change in the Lions side, with Tom Elliott also a possibility to start tonight.

That could be the two changes that Neil Harris might look to implement this evening against a Forest side who are starting to find form.

That could be ominous for the Lions, but they have done well at the City Ground in recent seasons.

So all involved with Millwall are hoping they can replicate recent positive results in Nottingham, with a win this evening against Aitor Karanka’s men.
