Wigan Athletic's Jamal Lowe is set to leave the club after agreeing terms with three clubs, according to Sky Sports News.

It is believed that the clubs that the former Portsmouth man has agreed personal terms with are Preston North End, Swansea City and Millwall.

Lowe chipped in with six goals and five assists in his 48 appearances for Wigan during the 2019/20 season, and it seems as though his impressive showings haven't gone unnoticed.

Wigan were relegated from the Championship on the final day of the season, after they were deducted 12 points after entering administration earlier in this year's league campaign.

It seems likely that a number of players will leave the club ahead of the 2020/21 season, with Lowe being a player that has attracted significant interest.

He has only been with the club since the summer of 2019, when he signed from Portsmouth after a hugely impressive league campaign in League One, as Pompey narrowly missed out on promotion back into the Championship.

It remains to be seen as to which club Lowe is most likely to head to this summer, but he'll be hoping he can hit the ground running at the earliest of opportunities.

The Verdict:

I'm not surprised to hear that he's heading for the exit door.

Lowe has already shown that he's more than capable of playing in the Championship on a regular basis, and I think he'd be a strong addition to all of the clubs interested.

I have my doubts as to whether he'd be a regular starter with Swansea, so he might be better-suited to a move to either Millwall or Preston North End.

I'm sure we'll see plenty more summer departures at Wigan, as they prepare for life back in the third tier of English football.
