Millwall forward Tom Bradshaw is preparing to face former side Barnsley over the weekend, and he has now claimed the atmosphere within the Millwall squad is the best he has ever been involved in.

Bradshaw scored his first goal of the Gary Rowett era during the 1-0 win over Derby last weekend - with the Wales international having now netted a total of seven goals this term - and he helped his side extend their unbeaten run to seven games.

The South London outfit have excelled since Rowett's arrival at the club back in October, with Millwall now up to 11th in the Championship table, and they are now just two point shy of the play-offs despite a disappointing start to the season.

Speaking to London News Online, Bradshaw has now said that the club's changing-room atmosphere has helped improve their results of late, with the Lions's squad being the most tight-knit group the striker has been part of.

“The atmosphere we’ve got in the changing room is better than any team I’ve been in. It’s such a close-knit squad. I know people sometimes say that to the press anyway, but it genuinely is," he said.

“It shows through whenever anyone scores or we win – everyone celebrates together. We’re all mates in there as well as team-mates.

“We’ve got a really good atmosphere and that helps in football.”

Bradshaw has now made 33 appearances for Millwall since completing his move from Barnsley in the summer of 2018, and he is now aiming for a full season of involvement after seeing last term severely hindered by injury.

The Verdict

Bradshaw will be really hoping to kick on this season after a frustrating first season at the club, and he will be pleased with his goalscoring return so far after not finding the net for the Lions this season.

It is clear that Millwall were in need of a managerial change following a disappointing end to Neil Harris' reign, and Rowett has certainly proved to be the best man for the job as he has ushered in an excellent run of form for his side.

Bradshaw has now started both of Millwall's last two matches, which have seen the Lions overcome Bristol City and Derby, and he will now be hoping to become a mainstay in the team.
