Millwall are planning on keeping Isaac Olaofe on loan at Sutton United for the rest of the campaign, as per a report from News at Den.

Netting five goals in 18 appearances for the newly promoted League Two club, the 22-year-old has been a bright spark in League Two and is progressing at an exciting rate.

The Lions recalled Tyler Burey back into the squad, who like Olaofe, has been impressing in League Two this season, with the midfielder linking back up with the squad after his stint at Hartlepool United.

The nature of the transfer window means that nothing is set in stone yet, and given the endless possibilities that could still occur this month, it would be no surprise to see a plan finalised in the concluding stages of the window.

Should Olaofe remain out on loan for the remainder of the season, he will be striving to continue impressing and try to force his way into the Millwall side next year.

The verdict

Olaofe is proving to be a real exciting talent in the EFL, bringing pace, energy and a goalscoring touch to Sutton's frontline.

Given his proximity to the first team at Millwall, he knows that he needs to shine in League Two to get himself in contention for regular football at The Den next season.

Millwall are not afraid to trust their more youthful players, with this kind of approach benefitting Olaofe's chances massively.

However, there is still a large chunk of the January transfer window left, meaning lots of things can change the provisional plan.
